Unacademy has appointed Abhinandan Narayan as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of its group company, Prepladder. Prepladder is an ed-tech platform that offers high-quality content for students preparing for competitive exams, focusing primarily on exams like NEET-PG, FMGE, and SS.
In his new role, Abhinandan is expected to lead the growth and scaling of the business and significantly increase its market share.
Abhinandan joins Unacademy from ANS Commerce, where he served as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer – International Business and SAAS from 2023 to 2024. Before that, he held the position of Vice President at Hindustan Times, overseeing Hindustan Times, Hindustan, Mint, Fever 104, and Radio One from 2021 to 2022.
His previous experience includes a six-year tenure at CarDekho, where he worked in various leadership roles in Sales, Strategy, and Business Development from 2015 to 2021. Prior to CarDekho, Abhinandan served as Area Business Head at Berger Paints from 2014 to 2015. He also worked as a Business Consultant for Mahindra & Mahindra’s Rural Expansion Project and held roles at Microsoft as a Marketing Consultant and Tata Consultancy Services as a Systems Engineer.
Abhinandan brings extensive experience and expertise in P&L Management of upwards of 200 Cr, Sales, Sales Planning, Business Development, Market Entry, and Growth planning and execution strategies. His varied background across multiple industries positions him well to drive Prepladder’s growth and expansion efforts.
With his strategic vision and leadership, Abhinandan is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing Prepladder’s position in the competitive exam preparation market, contributing to Unacademy’s overall mission to democratize education.
