In his new role at Conneqt Digital, Akbar will focus on driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing accounts in Saudi Arabia. He will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans aimed at achieving a revenue target of USD 6 million annually.
Before joining Conneqt Digital, Akbar served as the Regional Sales Manager at ZingHR, where he managed business development and sales strategy for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. In this role, he was instrumental in driving revenue growth by managing channel partners, developing go-to-market strategies, and overseeing the execution of business development plans. ZingHR is a Gartner-recognized global HR tech venture accelerated by Microsoft and funded by Tata Capital.
Akbar’s career also includes significant achievements at Hilal Computers, where he managed SAP and Microsoft business units across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE. At Hilal Computers, he drove new business development and account management, contributing to core revenue generation of $1.2 million annually through SAP products and Microsoft solutions. His responsibilities involved consulting with new and existing customers, securing repeat business, and creating new opportunities in various sectors, including banking, oil and gas, telecom, healthcare, and manufacturing. Akbar’s ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships was a key factor in his success at Hilal Computers.
Akbar’s expertise spans a range of advanced technologies including SaaS products, software solutions, ERP systems like SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle, cloud computing with AWS and Azure, cybersecurity, low-code and no-code platforms, data analytics, generative AI, and digital assurance. He holds several certifications, including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Certified, SAP Business One Sales Executive Certified, and Cloud Security Certified.
Akbar’s educational background includes a degree in Marketing Management from IIT Kanpur and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM University in India.
