Ceat, a leading tyre manufacturer, has announced the promotion of Vishal Pawar to the position of Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Supply Chain. Pawar, who previously served as Vice President of Replacement Sales, succeeds Saurav Mukherjee, who has resigned after more than four years in the role.
Pawar’s appointment is a strategic move by Ceat to leverage his deep understanding of the industry and his proven leadership capabilities. An engineering graduate from the College of Engineering Pune and a management graduate from SIBM, Pawar started his career as a Management Trainee with TAFE Limited in Chennai. He joined Ceat in 2005 as Category Head before moving into sales and serving as Zonal Sales Head for the South.
In 2019, Pawar briefly transitioned to Garware Technical Fibres, where he continued to hone his skills in sales leadership. He returned to Ceat to lead the aftermarket sales division as Vice President, demonstrating exceptional strategic vision and driving significant growth in the sector.
