Cummins India, a leading power solutions technology provider, has announced the appointment of Shveta Arya as Managing Director.
Currently, Arya leads the Power System Business for Cummins India, a portfolio she will maintain even after assuming her new role as Managing Director. Since joining Cummins India in 2016, Arya has played a crucial role in the company’s growth, particularly in the Distribution and Power Systems sectors.
With over 20 years of experience in industry and management consulting across Automotive, Travel, Financial Services, and Telecom sectors, Arya brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to her new role. Prior to joining Cummins, she worked with Thomas Cook, Kearney, and Infosys.
Ashwath Ram, the outgoing Managing Director of Cummins India, expressed his confidence in Arya’s leadership, highlighting her strategic mindset, customer-centric approach, and commitment to the company’s core values as key attributes that make her well-suited to guide Cummins India into its next phase of growth.
Arya, in her role as Managing Director (Designate) and Business Leader – Power Systems, emphasized her dedication to continuing the company’s legacy of innovation and dependability, and her commitment to steering Cummins India toward further growth.
Shveta Arya holds a Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA), and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering from Delhi University.
