Bengaluru-based wealthtech startup Fisdom has announced the appointment of Girish Venkat as the new head of its wealth management business. Venkat, who previously led the wealth management division at State Bank of India (SBI), will take over from Anand Dalmia, a cofounder of Fisdom who has been managing the business until now.
With a career spanning multiple high-profile financial institutions, Venkat brings extensive experience to Fisdom. Before his tenure at SBI, he held significant roles at Aditya Birla Capital and ICICI Bank. His expertise in building and scaling wealth management operations is expected to drive Fisdom’s growth in this sector.
Fisdom operates through partnerships with 15 major banks in India, including several public sector lenders. The company offers a wide range of services including mutual funds, stock broking, portfolio management, unlisted private equity, bonds, structured products, insurance, and tax management.
Subramanya SV, cofounder of Fisdom, highlighted Venkat’s proven track record in scaling businesses and expressed confidence that his leadership, combined with Fisdom’s technology and research capabilities, will enhance the company’s wealth management offerings.
