Gabriel India, a leading manufacturer of automotive components, has appointed Atul Jaggi as its new Managing Director, succeeding Manoj Kolhatkar, who is stepping down from the role. Gabriel India, part of the Anand Group, is recognized as one of the largest providers of ride control systems in India and is expanding its product range to include auto sunroofs.
The Board has chosen Atul Jaggi, who previously served as Deputy Managing Director, to assume the role of Managing Director. Jaggi has been with Gabriel India for over 24 years and brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Kolhatkar will remain with the company until October 17, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition. Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of Gabriel India, expressed confidence in Jaggi’s abilities, noting his experience and deep knowledge of the auto sector, and anticipated that he would advance the company’s success to the next level.
In addition to its core business, Gabriel India manufactures shock absorbers for modern two- and three-wheeler vehicles, including electric vehicles (EVs). In 2023, the company entered the automotive sunroof market through a partnership with Dutch-based Inalfa Roof Systems.
This collaboration aims to produce sunroofs tailored for the Indian automotive sector, reflecting Gabriel India’s strategic move to diversify its product portfolio and strengthen its market presence.
