Standard Chartered has announced the promotion of Gaurav Rajput to the role of Managing Director, Global Head Corporate & Investment Bank Marketing. This significant elevation highlights Rajput’s expertise in driving marketing strategies across various sectors within the banking industry and his consistent track record of leadership and innovation.
Rajput, who previously served as Managing Director & Head of Consumer Bank Marketing – Asia at Standard Chartered, shared his excitement about the new role on his LinkedIn profile, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Managing Director, Global Head Corporate & Investment Bank Marketing at Standard Chartered!”
Before joining Standard Chartered, Rajput was the Chief Marketing Officer at IDFC Bank from 2015 to 2017, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the bank’s brand in the competitive Indian market.
Prior to his tenure at IDFC Bank, Rajput held the position of Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at Cigna TTK Health Insurance Company from 2013 to 2015. During this period, he was responsible for overseeing the digital transformation of the company’s marketing efforts and enhancing its customer engagement strategies. From 2009 to 2013, he served as Director of Marketing & Digital at Aviva, where he led the company’s marketing initiatives and contributed significantly to its digital growth.
Rajput’s earlier career includes a notable stint as Vice President of Marketing & Customer Segments at Citibank India from 2004 to 2009, where he was instrumental in developing and executing customer-centric marketing strategies. Before Citibank, he served as Marketing Manager at NDTV between 2003 and 2004 and worked as Account Director at Rediffusion Y&R from 2000 to 2003.
