Hitesh Kotak is the Chief Executive for Japan, India, Korea, and South-East Asia at Munich Re, a leading global reinsurance company.
Hitesh’s extensive career at Munich Re began in January 2017 when he became the Chief Executive Officer for the India Branch. He has since played a pivotal role in expanding Munich Re’s presence and operations across various regions, demonstrating a deep understanding of the insurance and reinsurance markets.
Before joining Munich Re, Hitesh held significant positions at ICICI Lombard, including Head of International Business and Reinsurance, National Sales Manager – Bancassurance, and Product Manager (Retail, Bancassurance). His experience at ICICI Lombard, spanning over 13 years, provided him with comprehensive insights into the insurance industry, particularly in business development and sales.
Hitesh’s academic background includes a Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai.
