Kamlesh Joshi Appointed Head of Learning and Development at Amneal Pharmaceuticals

Kamlesh Joshi has recently been appointed as the Head of Learning and Organization Development at Amneal Pharmaceuticals in Ahmedabad. With his extensive background in capability development, performance management, and organizational development, Kamlesh is well-equipped to advance Amneal’s mission. His expertise is expected to enhance the company’s performance through strategic learning initiatives, furthering their goal of providing affordable access to essential medicines.

Before joining Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Kamlesh spent nearly nine years at Holcim as the Head of Capability Development and Performance Management for Asia. During his time there, he established a premier learning and development system for talent enhancement and capability building. He also managed the regional manufacturing support organization for South Asia and implemented best practices in manufacturing training at Indian companies such as ACC Limited and Ambuja Cement Ltd.

Kamlesh’s career also includes significant contributions at Ambuja Cements Limited, where he was the Head of Technical Training and Capability Development PAN India for over three years. He developed corporate L&D strategies, integrated technical training across ACC and Ambuja Cement, and founded multiple technical training institutes. His role at Ambuja Cements also included a brief tenure as Head of Business Development Planning & Coordination, where he handled financial budgets, production planning, and sustainability initiatives, along with leading cost optimization projects.

Kamlesh’s professional journey began with roles such as Automation Head at Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited and Project & Maintenance In-charge at Saurashtra Cement Limited. In these positions, he managed greenfield project erection, commissioning, and control system upgrades.
