Ankit Todi has been appointed as the new Group Chief Sustainability Officer of Mahindra Group, as announced recently by the company.
Since joining Mahindra Group in 2022, Ankit has played a pivotal role in shaping the group’s renewed ‘Planet Positive’ sustainability strategy. He has overseen the establishment of the Group Sustainability CEO Council and has been instrumental in Mahindra Group’s engagement with esteemed global platforms such as the World Economic Forum, United Nations Global Compact, and Sustainable Markets Initiative, alongside various domestic industry associations.
Ankit reports directly to Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Group Public Affairs Officer of Mahindra Group and Member of the Group Executive Board. Commenting on Ankit’s appointment, it was stated that his promotion underscores Mahindra Group’s commitment to developing strong future leaders from within. He has successfully integrated business strategy with sustainability initiatives, driving significant outcomes. Ankit has played a key role in advancing sustainability roadmaps and actions across Mahindra Group’s businesses, reinforcing the group’s reputation as a leader in sustainable business practices.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Ankit holds a Master’s degree in Information & Communication Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a member of the prestigious ‘Mahindra Accelerated Leadership Track’ (MALT), a distinguished leadership program conducted in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University aimed at nurturing top talent. Prior to joining Mahindra, Ankit spent seven years in management consulting at Bain & Company.
