Mayank Tiwari has joined the Lalbhai Group as the Group Chief Strategy Officer, where he will lead the diversified conglomerate’s Strategy and Corporate Development charter. With over two decades of global strategic and operating experience across industries, he brings a wealth of knowledge across various industries. In his current role, Mayank will collaborate closely with the Promoters and Portfolio CEOs to drive growth and transformation for the Lalbhai Group.
Before joining the Lalbhai Group, Mayank was a Founder in the Bangalore – Bay Area corridor founding two separate zero to one Cloud Saas companies. Most recently, he co-founded IHX, India’s largest healthcare data exchange platform, where he led the strategic and commercial growth charter. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2019 began as a Founder and CBO at Avataar.AI, a Sequoia Capital and Tiger Global-backed startup specializing in 3D AI/AR technologies.
Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, Mayank spent a decade in private equity as an Operating Partner and in various PE portfolio CEO / CXO roles. He served as Director and Regional Head at KKR Capstone and in this role, he focused on value creation within KKR’s portfolio, helping multiple businesses achieve global scale and operational excellence. His decade-long career in PE has provided him a hands-on activist shareholder experience & mindset to drive rapid transformations in various industries and situations. Additionally, as CEO of F&B Asia, a pan-Asian PE-backed food services platform, he built the multi-brand business from the ground up.
Earlier in his career, Mayank gained significant experience with Unilever in South Asia, managing sales leadership and category development roles for the Household Care business. He also worked as a management consultant with BCG in Chicago, advising clients in consumer, retail, and industrial sectors across North America.
Mayank is an alumnus of The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), where he earned his MBA in Finance and Strategy, graduating with high distinction. He also holds a Master’s degree from JBIMS (University of Mumbai) and a B.Tech. in Computer Science.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mayank has also been a club level Cricketer and an amateur musician. He is also an active angel investor and coach for startup founders.
