Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Gupta as President of its India division.
Gupta brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Mercer Mettl. He will join the leadership teams of Mercer in the India, Middle East, and Africa region, as well as Marsh McLennan in India, and will report to Sanjay Kedia, the CEO of Marsh McLennan India.
Before his tenure at Mercer, Gupta was the CEO of Next Education India Pvt Ltd, starting in March 2023. He also held significant roles at Unacademy, including Chief Revenue Officer, and worked at The Boston Consulting Group and ITC Ltd. Gupta holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Warangal.
Gupta’s extensive experience in various leadership roles and his educational background position him well to lead Mercer’s operations in India, further strengthening the company’s presence and influence in the region.
