Havells India Ltd has appointed Prashant Gulati as Senior Vice President. This strategic appointment comes as Havells continues to strengthen its leadership team and drive growth in the competitive electrical and lighting industry.
Gulati, a seasoned business leader with over 24 years of experience in sales and marketing, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role at Havells. His career has been marked by significant contributions across various sectors, including building materials, FMCG, and retail. Before joining Havells, Gulati served as General Manager – Retail Sales at Asian Paints, where he led a team of over 2,000 sales professionals and played a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
At Asian Paints, Gulati’s leadership was instrumental in shaping sales strategies, go-to-market planning, and team development. His tenure at the company was distinguished by his ability to build result-oriented teams and execute transformational initiatives that yielded tangible results. His deep understanding of sales strategy and customer interface was key to his success in this role.
Prior to his time at Asian Paints, Gulati held leadership positions at Hindware Limited and Pidilite Industries Limited. As Senior Vice President at Hindware, he managed a national sales portfolio worth over ₹1,000 crores and significantly expanded the brand’s retail footprint by adding 500 retail ‘Gallerias’ in three years. His efforts also contributed to a notable increase in market share for Hindware’s faucets business.
Gulati’s career also includes a role as Chief – Sales (Retail) at Pidilite Industries Limited, where he led national retail sales for the Dr. Fixit brand, and as Head-West India at AkzoNobel India Limited, where he managed sales operations for western India.
Gulati’s academic credentials include a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. His extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to drive Havells India Ltd’s business strategy, channel management, and market expansion efforts.
