Primus Partners India Appoints M Ramakrishnan as Managing Director

In a move to strengthen its Agriculture and Climate practice, Primus Partners India has appointed M Ramakrishnan as its new Managing Director.

In his new role, Mr. M Ramakrishnan (Ram) will focus on enhancing Primus Partners’ expertise and market presence in Agriculture and Climate sectors. With significant experience across various industries and consulting, Ram previously worked at Zetta Farms and Gramaphone, where he promoted sustainable farming practices, improved farmer incomes, and optimized water and input use. As an angel investor, he has supported early-stage startups and helped them secure funding.

Nilaya Varma, Co-Founder and CEO of Primus Partners, noted that Agriculture and Climate are crucial areas impacting growth and climate management. Varma emphasized that Ramakrishnan’s extensive experience in Agritech and Sustainability will be invaluable in providing strategic consulting to clients. This appointment is seen as a strategic move to further establish Primus as a leading consultancy firm in Agriculture, Climate, and Sustainability sectors.

Sameer Jain, Managing Director of Primus Partners, added that Primus believes India’s Climate Agenda should be integrated across all sectors, states, industries, and individuals. Over recent years, Primus has developed strong expertise in Climate-Health, Climate-WASH, and Climate-Urban areas. Jain believes that Ram will play a crucial role in strengthening the Agriculture & Climate practice.
