Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading global management consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Rajat Kanwar Gupta as Managing Director.
Rajat Kanwar Gupta brings to BCG a wealth of experience spanning over a decade in the technology and financial sectors. Prior to his appointment at BCG, Gupta served as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Xebia, where he was instrumental in driving the company’s global BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) practice and leading the Gen AI Charter. His innovative work also included the development of three greenfield digital-only banks in the Philippines, Vietnam, and the USA, as well as numerous AI and Gen AI use cases tailored for the BFSI sector.
Before his tenure at Xebia, Gupta held several senior leadership roles at YES BANK, one of India’s largest private sector banks. As Senior President, Gupta led the bank’s digital channels, including mobile banking, chatbot development, and the unified desktop for sales and service.
Rajat’s career began with technical roles at Aricent and an internship at Microsoft, followed by significant contributions at YES BANK, where he spent over 12 years in various capacities, including Group Executive Vice President, President, and Senior President. His educational background includes an MBA in Information Technology from SP Jain School of Global Management and a B.E. in Computer Science from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.
