Royal Enfield has appointed Piyush Prasad as its new Business Development Lead for Electric Vehicles (EV) in India. Prasad, who announced the news on LinkedIn, brings with him a wealth of experience spanning nearly 25 years in the automotive industry.
Prior to joining Royal Enfield, Prasad held the position of National Business Head at Hero Electric Vehicles, where he made significant contributions over a four-year tenure. His extensive career includes roles at Hyundai as an Area Manager, as well as stints at Mahindra Rise, General Motors, Renault India, Harley Davidson, and other notable firms.
Prasad holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Kirori Mal College and a Master’s in International Business from Delhi School of Economics. His appointment underscores Royal Enfield’s strategic focus on enhancing its presence and growth in the EV segment in India.
With his deep industry knowledge and proven business acumen, Prasad is expected to play a pivotal role in driving Royal Enfield’s EV initiatives to new heights.
