SAP Labs India Announces Key Global AI Appointments: A Boost to Innovation and Security

SAP, a leading global enterprise software company, has announced the appointment of two leaders from SAP Labs India to crucial global roles in artificial intelligence (AI). This strategic move underlines the growing importance of India in SAP’s global technology landscape and aligns with the company’s objective to significantly expand its AI talent base in the region by the end of the year.

Rahul Lodhe has been named the Global Head of Engineering for SAP Business AI Copilot Joule. With 24 years of experience at SAP, Lodhe is set to lead the integration of Generative AI across SAP’s product lines. His role includes providing essential technical leadership, setting strategic directions, and fostering innovation to ensure the delivery of advanced software solutions.

Sudhakar Singh has been appointed as the Chief AI Security Officer. Singh, who has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 12 years with SAP, will spearhead initiatives to ensure the security and privacy of AI solutions within SAP Business AI. His responsibilities include overseeing compliance with AI regulations, data privacy, and cybersecurity, thereby maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy for customer data and operations.

This move by SAP to elevate Indian leaders to global roles demonstrates the company’s commitment to leveraging local talent for worldwide innovation. It also underscores SAP’s focus on strengthening its AI capabilities and ensuring robust security measures, positioning SAP Labs India as a key player in the global AI and technology landscape.
