Swapna Sawant Takes on HR Leadership Role at Jotun India

Swapna Sawant has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Jotun India, a leading Norwegian multinational specializing in decorative paints and coatings. In her new role, she will spearhead HR strategies and initiatives across the organization’s Indian operations, bringing her extensive industry experience to the fore.

Based in Mumbai, Swapna Sawant will report directly to the Managing Director of Jotun India. Her key responsibilities include driving HR concepts in areas like Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, and Mobility. Additionally, she will manage relationships with industrial unions and relevant government bodies, ensuring smooth industrial relations.

Before joining Jotun, Swapna held several notable positions, including Strategic Business HR at Asian Paints. She also contributed significantly during her tenure at Sahara India as Assistant Manager (HR Operations) and at Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd., where she managed corporate alliances.

Academically, Sawant holds an MBA in Human Resources (Business Design) from the Welingkar Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology. Her diverse background positions her well to lead Jotun India’s HR department toward continued growth and success.
