He joins us from Galderma, a global leader in dermatology, where he spent over a decade in key leadership positions. During his tenure, he successfully handled three major business segments, including the therapeutic portfolio, initiated the consumer brand transition from prescription to OTx, and leading the revival of the aesthetics business to a strong market position. His strategic vision, combined with robust execution capabilities, has been instrumental in expanding market share, introducing advanced CRM platforms like VEEVA, and driving excellence in customer engagement.
Before Galderma, Vijayakumar made a significant impact at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he played a crucial role in growing the dermatology division sixfold over seven years. His ability to develop innovative product launch strategies, marketing campaigns, and customer-focused initiatives led to remarkable business expansion. His contributions to the pharmaceutical industry have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the OPPI Award for Marketing Excellence and the AIOCD AWACS Marketing Excellence Award in 2017 and 2018. Academically, Vijayakumar holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management from NMIMS, Mumbai, which he completed in 2005.
