Vinod Rai has been appointed as the Executive Vice President & Group Head HR at Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd, one of India’s largest apparel manufacturers. In his new role, Vinod will spearhead HR operations across the entire group, focusing on strategic initiatives such as HR policy redesign, organizational structure, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Before joining Shahi Exports, Vinod served as the Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Orient Paper & Industries Limited, a CK Birla Group company, for approximately one year. During his tenure, he was instrumental in leading a comprehensive transformation of HR policies and aligning the organizational structure with the company’s business strategy.
Vinod’s career also includes a significant 12-year tenure at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he held various leadership positions in HR. Notably, he served as the Head of Human Resources for Engineering, QA, and the Rohtak R&D facilities, where he focused on talent management and organizational transformation. He also played key roles in managing HR operations for supply chain and plant HR, as well as heading talent acquisition strategies at the corporate level.
In addition to his experience at Maruti Suzuki, Vinod has held leadership roles in HR at Jubilant Pharmova Limited and Panacea Biotec. His early career at Panacea Biotec, where he began as an Assistant Manager, provided him with a strong foundation in HR operations, talent acquisition, and compensation and benefits management.
With his extensive experience and proven leadership in HR, Vinod Rai is poised to drive Shahi Exports’ HR strategies to new heights, ensuring the continued growth and success of the organization.
