Rohit Kumar Gupta, the Chief Financial Officer of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, has decided to step down from his role due to personal reasons. Mukund Galgali, who has been with the company for over 17 years and is currently leading the Commercial and Strategic Initiatives, will serve as the acting Chief Financial Officer.

In recent months, the company has experienced several high-profile resignations. Among those who have left are Rahul Johri, President of Business for South Asia; Nitin Mittal, President of Technology and Data; and Punit Misra, President of Content and International Markets at ZEEL.

Earlier, Managing Director and CEO Punit Goenka shared his strategy for improving profit margins in the upcoming quarters. He identified three key focus areas for the company: frugality, optimization, and a strong emphasis on high-quality content. During the earnings call for FY24 Q4 results, Goenka reiterated the importance of ‘frugality.’ He emphasized that the company needs to adjust its business model to achieve a balanced cost structure for sustained long-term growth.
