Manoj Kumar Nambiar Takes Lead as MFIN Chairperson

Manoj Kumar Nambiar has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN). Nambiar, who currently serves as the Managing Director of Arohan Financial Services, brings extensive experience in the microfinance sector. He succeeds Devesh Sachdev, CEO of Fusion Microfinance, in this role.

In addition to Nambiar’s appointment, Vineet Chattree, the Director of Svatantra Microfin, will serve as the Vice Chairperson. Chattree brings his expertise in microfinance operations and strategic planning to the leadership team.

These appointments aim to strengthen the governance and strategic direction of MFIN, an industry association representing the microfinance sector in India. The new leadership team is expected to continue MFIN’s work in enhancing financial inclusion, ensuring client protection, and supporting the overall growth of the microfinance sector. They will also focus on fostering dialogue between stakeholders and addressing regulatory challenges faced by microfinance institutions.
