Chris Mackinnon appointed as Head of Global Markets, Australia at Munich Re

Chris Mackinnon has been appointed as Head of Global Markets, Australia at Munich Re. He will lead the company’s Australian business as it enters the primary specialty insurance market, with offerings across property, construction and engineering, mining, and surety insurance. Before joining Munich Re Specialty, Chris spent more than 11 years at Lloyd's, most recently serving as Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, based in Singapore. He previously led Lloyd’s operations in Australia and New Zealand as Regional Head and General Representative in Australia for over nine years. His broader industry leadership includes serving as a Non-Executive Director at the Insurance Council of Australia and Associate Director at the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC), alongside senior roles at Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers, Arthur J.
