Accenture and Workday are joining forces to accelerate the adoption of AI agents across human resources and finance operations. Through a new forward-deployed engineering (FDE) programme, engineers will work directly alongside client teams to help businesses move AI initiatives beyond experimentation and into real-world production environments.

The programme will focus on integrating Workday’s AI agents with existing business workflows, data systems and organisational policies. Engineers will also collaborate with Workday’s product teams to develop new capabilities informed by practical enterprise deployments. The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on embedding AI into everyday business operations while addressing the complexities of enterprise implementation.

The move comes as major Indian IT services companies, including Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys, also expand their forward-deployed engineering capabilities to support enterprise AI adoption. As businesses seek measurable outcomes from AI investments, closer collaboration between technology providers and clients is emerging as a key approach to turning AI potential into operational impact.
