Aditya Deshpande Leads Standard Chartered Private Banking

Aditya Deshpande has been appointed as Managing Director & India Head for Private Banking at Standard Chartered Bank, bringing extensive leadership experience across wealth management, private banking, retail banking and investment services.

Before this appointment, Aditya held senior positions at HDFC Bank, most recently serving as Senior Vice President II & Zonal Head – Branch Banking. He previously served as Senior Vice President & Market Head – Wealth and Senior Vice President & Senior Regional Head – Wealth, leading regional wealth management initiatives.

During his extensive tenure at HDFC Bank, he also held leadership roles as Vice President & Regional Head, Product Head – Mutual Funds and Wealth Management Services, and Product Manager – Investment Services & Mutual Funds. His experience spans wealth business development, investment products, regional leadership and client engagement.

Aditya began his banking career at Standard Chartered Bank as a Relationship Manager – Priority Banking. His return to the organisation in a senior leadership capacity marks a significant new chapter in his professional journey.
