Arpita Mishra Honored With Honorary Doctorate in Business

Arpita Mishra has been awarded an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration by the European Institute of Management and Technology, Switzerland, in recognition of her thought leadership, authorship, and advocacy for diversity, equity and inclusion and mental health in corporate life.
Currently serving as AVP at Citi, where she leads corporate communications and business management, Arpita brings over 14 years of experience across communications, employee engagement and employer branding. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between organisational values and everyday workplace practices, making inclusion and mental health meaningful parts of corporate culture.
Her contributions extend beyond her corporate role. She is the author of four published books, two of which have been featured at the World Book Fair. She also hosts the Spotify podcast “Bhagvad Geeta * Corporate Life”, exploring the relevance of the Bhagavad Geeta in professional life, and publishes “The Balanced Beam”, a weekly LinkedIn newsletter on leadership, wellbeing and productivity, now in its second year.
Through her writing, podcast and professional work, Arpita continues to encourage practical conversations around inclusive leadership, employee wellbeing and mental health. Her belief that true leadership isn't about directing people, but about honoring their lived experiences, nurturing human resilience, restoring balance, celebrating individuality, and uplifting people rather than merely managing them , remains central to her work.
