Catalyst Management Services (CMS) has appointed Dr. Amit Gupta as Chief Executive Officer, marking a new chapter in the organisation’s three-decade journey of social impact. He will lead CMS’s efforts to strengthen development solutions, influence systems change, and scale sustainable impact across India and the Global South.

With over 37 years of experience spanning corporate leadership, academia, social entrepreneurship, and development, Dr. Gupta brings a distinctive cross-sector perspective. His professional journey includes Amul and ITC, followed by two decades in business school leadership, teaching, and research in social entrepreneurship and management.

As CEO, Dr. Gupta will focus on expanding CMS’s strategic advisory capabilities, strengthening long-term partnerships, and connecting consulting expertise with frontline insights, technology, and innovative finance. His priorities include shaping policies and systems that advance sustainable development while creating future-ready solutions for complex social challenges.
