DHL Group is planning a dedicated semiconductor logistics facility in Dholera, Gujarat, to support India’s emerging chip manufacturing ecosystem. Located near Tata Electronics’ proposed semiconductor fabrication project, the facility is intended to provide specialised warehousing, inventory management and transportation services tailored to the precision, traceability and security requirements of semiconductor supply chains.

The proposed hub will strengthen logistics support for semiconductor manufacturers and their supplier networks, covering the movement and storage of sensitive materials, production components and finished products. As Dholera develops into a semiconductor manufacturing destination, DHL’s planned facility highlights the growing importance of specialised logistics infrastructure in connecting fabrication plants with suppliers and distribution networks, while supporting the wider localisation of India’s semiconductor supply chain.
