IIFL Samasta Appoints Vijaykumar Farande as COO Retail Assets

Vijaykumar Farande has joined IIFL Samasta as Chief Operating Officer – Retail Assets, bringing over 22 years of experience across MSME lending, rural mortgages and agricultural finance. His expertise spans retail lending, Micro LAP, secured and unsecured loans, business development and P&L management.

Vijay has held leadership roles at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, L&T Finance, YES BANK, IndusInd Bank and HDFC Bank. Most recently, he served as Head of Business – Direct Channel at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited and Business Head – Micro LAP and Unsecured Loans at L&T Finance. Earlier, he held leadership positions in rural assets and rural banking at YES BANK, followed by a role as Vice President & Zonal Head – Agri Business at IndusInd Bank. He began his career at HDFC Bank.

His experience across lending segments and distribution channels brings a broad business perspective to his new role.

At IIFL Samasta, Vijay will lead the Retail Assets function, drawing on his background in lending, business leadership and financial services to support the organisation’s retail assets business.
