Parminder Joshi has been appointed Professor of Practice in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), effective October 22, 2026. Bringing over 33 years of corporate experience at Nestlé, he joins the university with extensive expertise in food innovation, product development, and category renovation.

During his career at Nestlé, Joshi led initiatives in innovation and renovation across the food category, contributing to his deep understanding of the industry's evolving needs. His experience in the corporate sector has equipped him with insights into food product innovation, market dynamics, and the practical challenges of translating ideas into market-ready solutions.

Following his retirement from the corporate sector, Joshi embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding FOODINTELLÉ. The startup was recognised as Best Startup at Bharat 2.0, marking a significant milestone in his post-retirement professional journey and reflecting his continued engagement with innovation and entrepreneurship in the food sector.

In his new academic role, Joshi aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia by sharing his corporate knowledge and entrepreneurial experience with the next generation of food science professionals. His appointment is expected to bring valuable industry perspectives into academic learning, helping students better understand the practical applications of food science, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The appointment also marks a meaningful full-circle moment, as Joshi is an alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University, the institution he now joins as a Professor of Practice.
