Prabhakar Mukhopadhyay has been elevated to Head – Group Internal Audit and Senior Vice President – Business Assurance at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career spanning more than three decades. With extensive expertise in Internal Audit, Risk Management, SOX Implementation, Controls & Compliance, and Financial Accounting, he brings a wealth of leadership experience in strengthening governance, managing enterprise risks and driving business assurance.

Over the years, Prabhakar has held key leadership roles across prominent organisations, in various industries and geographies. His cross-industry experience reflects a strong foundation in financial governance, risk oversight and organisational controls.

In his expanded role, he will focus on strengthening IHCL's governance framework, integrated risk management and business assurance practices. A key part of his vision is to advance Integrated Predictive Assurance, transforming internal audit into a more proactive, data-driven function through continuous risk analysis, analytical tools and forward-looking insights.

Prabhakar also envisions building an empowered, independent and professionally confident team that combines in-house expertise with specialised external capabilities. His leadership philosophy centres on making Internal Audit and Business Assurance complementary strategic functions - not only anticipating and preventing potential risks but also strengthening the organisational foundations that enable sustainable business growth.
