Prashant Hegde Appointed FMC Business Director, South Asia

FMC Corporation has appointed Prashant Hegde as Business Director, South Asia & Southeast Asia, expanding his leadership mandate across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and key ASEAN markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Following his tenure as Managing Director, FMC India, he will focus on accelerating regional growth, advancing innovation and creating long-term value across South and Southeast Asia.

At FMC, Prashant led the India business through a significant period of transformation, strengthening operational excellence and building trusted partnerships with customers and stakeholders. His expanded mandate brings together his experience in commercial strategy, business growth and multi-market leadership across Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining FMC, Prashant served as Chief Executive Officer – Agri at PI Industries and Business Head – Vegetable Seeds, Asia Pacific at Bayer Crop Science. He also held several senior leadership positions at Monsanto, spanning business leadership across Asia Pacific, technology licensing and sales leadership in South Asia.

With more than three decades of experience in the agriculture sector, Prashant brings a strong commercial perspective, deep market understanding and extensive multi-country leadership experience to FMC’s next phase of growth across South and Southeast Asia.
