Sonali Datta: Founder & CEO of Fifth Studio

Sonali Datta takes on role as Founder & CEO of Fifth Studio, marking a new chapter in her career across content, entertainment and media. She brings extensive experience in content development, studio strategy, executive production and business leadership.

Prior to founding Fifth Studio, Sonali served as Executive Producer at JioStar, where she was associated with Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh, presented as India’s first AI-powered show. At Disney+ Hotstar, she held leadership positions including Executive Director & Head of Content Development & Studio Strategy, overseeing content portfolios and shaping creative strategies.

During her 14 year stint at Disney Star, Sonali led content development and strategy for Star Plus, contributing to the success of shows such as Anupama and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein. She also led the English channel portfolio across product and revenue, and served as Chief of Staff in the MD’s Office, driving strategic initiatives across the network. Earlier, she worked with Kearney as an Engagement Manager in its Consumer & Retail Practice.
