Vijay Kumar K has been appointed as Head – People Strategy, HR Technology & Learning at Magma General Insurance Limited. In his role, he leads the organisation’s people strategy, workforce planning, HR digital transformation, leadership development, and learning initiatives. His focus includes strengthening organisational effectiveness, talent management, employee experience, and data-driven decision-making while aligning people priorities with long-term business objectives.

Before joining Magma General Insurance, Vijay served as Deputy Vice President – Business HR at Poonawalla Poonawalla Fincorp , where he led employee engagement, performance improvement, and workforce capacity planning initiatives. He also held leadership roles at IKS Health, Reliance Home Finance Ltd., and Grameen Koota Financial Services. His expertise spans HR strategy, organisational design, succession planning, change management, and talent development. At Magma, he is also driving HR technology initiatives involving PeopleStrong HRMS, AI, and automation to build a more agile and future-ready workforce.
