Kumar joins Ujjivan Small Finance Bank from Bajaj Finserv, where he served as the National Head of Data Science & Engineering. During his tenure, he led initiatives that provided critical data-driven solutions for the company’s lending business, particularly in the rural segment. His extensive experience also includes significant roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Citi, where he specialized in portfolio analytics, customer insights, and data-driven strategy across various financial products and markets.
In his new role at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Kumar will spearhead the establishment of an Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE). His mission will be to harness advanced analytics to drive innovative solutions and enhance customer experience. His track record of delivering impactful analytical solutions and building strong stakeholder relationships will be pivotal in advancing Ujjivan’s strategic objectives.
Kumar holds an MBA in General Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Master’s in Data Science from Liverpool John Moores University. His academic background complements his practical experience, positioning him to effectively contribute to the growth and innovation at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank.
