Annapurna Vishwanathan has joined Airbus as the Vice President, Head of IM & Digital for India and South Asia, bringing with her a wealth of experience in digital transformation, IT strategy, and technology leadership. In this role, Annapurna will be at the forefront of driving Airbus’ digital initiatives in the region, leveraging her extensive expertise to enhance business outcomes through technology.
Prior to joining Airbus, Annapurna served as the Chief Information Officer at Cummins India, where she played a pivotal role in developing and implementing IT strategies that empowered business growth. With over 15 years of experience across Coca-Cola, GE, and Atos Origin, she has a strong background in leading digital transformation across multiple industries. At Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, she was responsible for defining and executing the company’s digital strategy across manufacturing, logistics, commercial, and sales functions.
Annapurna spent over 11 years at GE, working across diverse technology domains such as product development, ERP, applications, M&A, IT infrastructure, and security, spanning geographies including the US, Europe, and South Asia. She has been recognized globally as one of IBM’s “Women in AI” for 2021, a testament to her leadership in emerging technologies. In addition to her professional achievements, she is a passionate advocate for diversity and mentorship, having led multiple women’s networks throughout her career.
With her appointment at Airbus, Annapurna is set to further strengthen the company’s digital and IT capabilities in the region. Her leadership will play a crucial role in shaping Airbus’ digital roadmap, ensuring innovation and efficiency in the ever-evolving aerospace industry.
