Sriram Musunuri has been elevated as the Global Head of Sustainability at Shell Aviation, bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience in the energy industry. Having spent more than 22 years at Shell, he has successfully driven P&L growth across various downstream businesses and played a pivotal role in strategic transformation. His expertise in sustainability, business strategy, and partnership development makes him a valuable leader in Shell’s journey toward a lower-carbon future.
In his new role, Sriram Musunuri will spearhead the development and execution of Shell’s aviation decarbonization strategy, accelerating sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) adoption through innovative and economically viable solutions. He will focus on leveraging Avelia, Shell’s blockchain-powered digital book and claim solution, to scale SAF adoption globally. His leadership will be instrumental in collaborating with private enterprises, industry bodies, and government stakeholders to drive impactful sustainability initiatives.
Throughout his tenure at Shell, Sriram has held multiple leadership positions, including General Manager for Construction & Road in Asia and the Middle East, Global Head for Strategy & Marketing in the Polyurethanes business, and key roles in P&L management. His strong track record of driving business transformation, building high-performance teams, and fostering external partnerships positions him well for his new responsibilities in Shell’s sustainability efforts.
