Abu Dhabi-based etisalat has completed the transfer of its entire stake in Vodafone, generating AED21.5 billion (US$5.84 billion) in gross cash proceeds. The transaction involved the sale of nearly 3.95 billion Vodafone shares at approximately 110.5 GBX per share, marking the successful completion of the agreement announced earlier this month. The move reflects e&’s continued focus on capital optimization and strategic portfolio management. In addition to the sale proceeds, e& is set to receive AED0.4 billion (US$110 million) from Vodafone’s 2026 final dividend on 30 July, bringing the total transaction value to AED21.9 billion (US$5.95 billion). The deal is expected to deliver a net cash return of AED4.8 billion (US$1.3 billion), further strengthening the group's financial position to support future investments and long-term growth initiatives. #eand #Vodafone #Telecom #CorporateFinance #MiddleEast #UAE #CXOlanesMENA
