Yaqoob Al Kiyumi appointed as Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, effective October 2026

Yaqoob Al Kiyumi has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, effective October 2026. Prior to this appointment, he served as Energy Advisor at Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals and as an Advisor at Nama Group. He previously led Oman Power & Water Procurement (OPWP) Co. SAOC as Chief Executive Officer for over six years, following earlier roles as Chief Operating Officer and Project Development Director. Earlier in his career, Yaqoob held several operational and leadership positions at Sohar Aluminium, including Potline Operations Manager, Environment, Health & Safety Manager and Port Manager.
